Trumpeter Dr. Christopher Krummel will present a Guest Artist Recital at
Dr. Krummel, professor of trumpet at
His Samford program will feature Georges Enesco's "Legende," Halsey Stevens' "Sonata for trumpet and piano," Vincent Persichetti's "Parable XIV, Op 127 for solo trumpet," Morton Gould's "Pavane from American Symphonette No. 2," Manual de Falla's "Tus ojillos negros," Miguel Sandoval's "Sin tu amor," Verne Reynolds' "Calls and Echoes" with Alabama State University trumpet professor Dr. Carly Johnson, and Marcel Bitsch's "Quatre Variations sur un theme de Domenico Scarlatti."
Samford piano professor Dr. Kathryn Fouse will accompany.
Krummel is the first in a series of guest performers presented this fall by the Samford School of Performing Arts.
