Miss Samford Pageant Is Friday, November 10

A new Miss Samford University will be crowned Friday (Nov. 10). The public is invited to the 7 p.m. pageant in Wright Center Concert Hall.

Nine contestants will compete in lifestyle and fitness, talent, evening wear and on-stage question categories. Personal interviews will be held earlier in the day.

"All That Jazz" is the theme of the pageant, which will feature entertainment by a live jazz band. Emcees are Samford junior Ricky Thrash of Hogansville, Ga., and Miss Alabama 2006 Melinda Toole, who was last year's Miss Samford.
