SUMMER THEATER WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN AT SAMFORD
Two one-week "Adventures in Theater" workshops for children will be offered at Samford University this summer. Dates are July 17-21 and July 24-28.
Children who have completed grades three through five will attend 9 a.m.-noon. Youngsters who have completed grades six through eight will attend 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Topics include audition skills, costuming, stage make-up, improvisation and how to become comfortable on stage. The older students will write short plays for presentation on the final day of class.
The registration fee of $100 includes instructional materials, make-up kit and tee shirt. Class size is limited. Registration deadline is July 1. For information, call workshop director Amy Strickland at 567-2471 or 824-2580.
