BIRMINGHAM---Michael Giles, Jr., of Tuscaloosa has been elected president of the Samford University Student Government Association for 2004-05. He was elected by vote of the undergraduate student body.
Other newly elected Samford SGA executive council officers are Matthew Harrison, Huntsville, vice president-senate; Brooke Bamberg, Selma, vice president-activities; and Austin Bourgeois, Brentwood, Tenn., treasurer.
Giles, son of Earnestine and Michael Giles, Sr., is a junior sports medicine/biology double major.
