The Samford University planetarium will host a multimedia video presentation, "Star of Bethlehem" during December. The public is invited free of charge.
Showings are at 7 p.m. on Dec. 13, 14, 16 and 17.
The presentation, suitable for all ages, addresses questions that historians and scientists have pondered for centuries about explanations for the star that appeared in the east.
The 100-seat planetarium is located in the Samford Sciencenter. Groups of 10 or more are welcome to schedule a special showing. For information, call planetarium director George Atchley at (205) 726-4139.
