We have updated Blackboard to the latest available software version (CE8). Users should notice few outward changes, but there have been numerous improvements in stability.

1. Getting Started with Blackboard
Learn the basics of Samford’s learning management system, including how to customize your home page and upload a syllabus.

2. All about Assessment: Using the Grade Book and the Quiz Tool
We’ll show you how Blackboard’s online assessment tools can be used to measure student learning and help you stay organized.

3. What is iTunes U?
Podcast, iTunes, DRM, ID3 tags.... If this sounds like Greek, then this session is for you. During the Fall 2007 semester, we rolled out iTunes U, a partnership with Apple, Inc. that allows us to store and deliver multimedia materials via the Internet. Several faculty and staff members have piloted this tool. Come and see what iTunes U is all about. You’ll be introduced to the concept of podcasting and see examples from Samford and other schools. (This is not a hands-on workshop.)

Learn how to utilize various technological tools to conserve resources and help the environment. This workshop will introduce techniques that you can use in your class and in your office to reduce paper consumption and energy use.
