    Painting I: Color Mixing and Composition

    Aug. 26 - Oct. 7, 2014 (Tue., 6 - 8 p.m.)

    In this class, students will produce quick painted studies. Paintings in acrylics will focus on color theory, creative composition, paint handling and indication of subject.     

    Painting II: Landscapes

    Oct. 21 - Dec. 2, 2014 (Tue., 6 - 8 p.m.) 

    Using a limited palette of acrylics, beginners learn how to paint spontaneous landscapes from photographs. This course focuses on color mixing, lighting, simple shapes and editing photos to develop good painting.

    Watercolor I

    Oct. 20 - Dec. 8, 2014 (Mon., 6 - 8 p.m.); No class 11/24/2014 

    Students will discuss and review watercolor painting techniques. Projects will consist of painting from life, landscapes, flowers, and painting watercolors from photographs. A supply list will be provided upon registration.
