SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTS

GRADUATE/PROFESSIONAL scholarships and grants are available and awarded to students based on specific criteria set by each graduate and professional school listed below. Graduate students applying for need-based scholarships and loans must file the 2008-2009 FAFSA. Please contact the appropriate school for application procedures and deadlines.

Cumberland School of LAW

Scholarships for entering law students are merit-based. These scholarships may be renewed from year to year, provided that specific conditions are met. Rising second- and third-year students may be awarded merit-based, need-based and leadership scholarships. No application is needed for merit-based scholarships, as Cumberland School of Law will notify recipients directly. Need-based scholarship applications may be obtained in the Cumberland School of Law Office of Admission at (800) 888-7213 or (205) 726-2702.

Beeson School of DIVINITY

Scholarships are available for many divinity students. To obtain information necessary to complete scholarship and application processes, contact the Beeson School of Divinity at (205) 726-2893, (205) 726-2991 or (800) 888-8266.

McWhorter School of PHARMACY

Scholarships are available to pharmacy students enrolled in the graduate program based on merit as well as need. Fourth-year students are eligible to apply for the Health Professions Loan. To obtain applications and information for merit- and need-based scholarships, contact the McWhorter School of Pharmacy at (205) 726-2008.

Orlean Bullard Beeson School of EDUCATION & Professional Studies

Various scholarships are offered, such as the Graduate Studies Scholarship, to its graduate students. To obtain the information necessary to complete the scholarship and application processes, contact the Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education and Professional Studies at (205) 726-2564.
