Greetings. Welcome to the Samford University School of the Arts  website. This is an exciting time in the life of our School as we a growing and adding new departments. On April 30, 2008 our University Trustees voted to gather Art, Graphic Design, Theatre, Dance, Church Music, Music Education, Music Theatre, Instrumental Music (Band and Orchestra), Theory, Music History, Vocal/Choral Music, Piano, Organ, Composition, and the Preparatory Music Department together as one unit.

The Samford Arts community is distinguished by the accomplishments of faculty, students, and alumni who carry the scholarship and creative activity of the University around the world. Samford artists, actors, and musicians guide national and international arts organizations, perform in the world’s greatest venues, and help prepare the next generation of arts students. Whether producing a Tony award winning Broadway show, performing a leading role at the Metropolitan Opera, or serving as an embedded photo journalist in the Iraqi war, Samford Artists represent the highest standards of achievement and character. They demonstrate that Faith truly enhances the quality and impact of our talent and work.
