Biographical Information

Alison Cummin Page’s choreography has been called “witty," “galvanic” and “sophisticated.” Since co-founding AROVA in 2006, she has created six works for the company, most notably The City Care Forgot from AROVA’s 2008 performance of Detours. Page served as the resident choreographer of Skyfire Theatre in Louisiana, from 2003–2005 where she staged musicals such as West Side Story and The Wiz. She is a graduate of the Alabama School of Fine Arts and holds a B.F.A. in dance from the University of Arizona (summa cum laude) and a master of arts from New York University in arts and humanities education, with a double emphasis in theatre and dance education. While living in New York, Page served as an assistant to the dance supervisor of The Lion King on Broadway. Professional credits include regional musicals, industrials in Arizona and New York, as well as dancing roles with the Arizona Opera Company. Page currently serves on the faculty of Samford University. She is a certified member of the teaching staff at Pilates on Highland in Birmingham.
