Biographical Information
Brandon Ragland, a native of Birmingham, Ala., received his early training from Jacqueline Crenshaw Lockhart. He continued his dance training at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. Upon graduating from ASFA, Ragland attended the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa and Butler University where he received his bachelor of science degree in dance-arts administration. His roles with Alabama Ballet include Jekyll in Van Fleteren’s Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, Benvolio in Van Fleteren’s Romeo & Juliet, Septime Webre's Where the Wild Things Are, Cavalier and Hot Chocolate Principal in Balanchine's The Nutcracker, Graduation Ball, Balanchine's The Nutcracker, Prince Charming in Cinderella, and Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs. He is also a member of the Gorham’s Bluff Residency.
