Rachel Lim holds the bachelor of music in music education with honors in performance from Samford University and the master of music in music theory from Florida State University. She is a member of Delta Omicron international music fraternity, Pi Kappa Lambda national music honor society, and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, from which she received a graduate fellowship in 2005.
As an undergraduate student at Samford, Rachel performed with numerous musical ensembles, including the Samford Orchestra, A Cappella Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Bells of Buchanan. At FSU, she served as a graduate teaching assistant for courses in sight singing/ear training and music theory for non-music majors. She also was a committee member for the FSU Music Theory Society’s annual student conference, Music Theory Forum.
After five years of service as Arts Recruiter, Rachel became Director of Student Services for the School of the Arts and academic advisor for music majors and minors in fall 2012. She also teaches freshman-level music theory courses.
