Congratulations to Madison Slate, IIDA Alabama's Student Member of the Month! February, 2013
Madison is from Decatur, Alabama, and graduated from Hartselle High School. She has always loved design and knew growing up that she would pursue a field in the arts. With a mission to produce works that are aesthetically pleasing and innovative, Madison's creativity flows into even the simplest projects. Madison is a sophomore interior design student at Samford University. She is the Secretary of the Interior Design Student Organization, and she represents the Interior Architecture Department on Samford University's Student Arts Council. Madison feels fortunate to have professors who are invested in her life and education. She is extremely excited to see what the future holds for her, and she hopes to use her talents to improve others' quality of life.
Laurl Self ('09) recently completed her Masters in Interior Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She will be presenting her final 'thesis' paper "An Assessment of Interior Design Theory Education at the Undergraduate Level" at the 2012 IDEC South Regional Conference, October 12, 2012.
