Summer camps 2012


Keyboard CampAdventures in Music June 18-22 (piano only) and July 9-13 (piano or voice): Day camps for students in grades 1–12 interested in study of piano and voice, with a dose of summer recreation. Experienced faculty guide students in private half-hour sessions, music literature, ensemble, theory and a closing Gala Recital. Contact Connie Macon at: for more information.


MusicCampAll Aboard for Music Summer Camp July 16-20: A fabulous learning experience for kids 3-6, including singing, movement, listening activities, crafts, instruments of the orchestra, learning centers and guest artists--all led by Samford's experienced preschool music faculty. piano-festivalPiano & Chamber Music Festival – June 10-16, 2012
Studies in piano, strings and clarinet for intermediate to advanced students. Classes include music literature, theory, ear training & sight singing, performance seminars.
Open to students in grades 7 to 12, including recent high school graduates. Students are in class all day and attend recitals in the evening.

Theatre CowOnce Upon a Time Theatre Camp June 25 - June 29: A week of theatre education for rising K-4/K-5 (9 a.m.-Noon) and grades 1-6 (9 a.m.-2 p.m.).  Students learn lines for a play, paint a scenic backdrop, gather costumes, create makeup designs and rehearse, then perform Friday in the Harrison Theatre. Special classes include art, music, creative movement and outdoor games. (email)

Theatre Arts Intensive Summer Camp July 16 - 27: A two-week camp for rising students in grades 7 - 12. Students delve deep into monologues, acting styles, audition skills, makeup, scenic and costume design, and preparation for a camp closing performance. A musical theatre track offers admission by audition on the first day of the camp.
