Alabama Dance Festival - January 16- 18, 2009

Presented by the Alabama Dance Council.

A full weekend of classes for everyone, from performers and educators to dance administrators!  Ballet, modern, tap, jazz, music theatre dance, African, even aerial dance classes wil be offered. A choreography workshop will be led by Robert Battle, founder of Battleworks dance company.  Complexions, the world class company founded by Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson (SYTYCD choreographers) will perform.  For complete information and to register, visit www.alabamadancecouncil.org.

The School of the Arts is developing a program for dancers who want more than just class every week.  The Samford Dance Ensemble will meet weekly to learn repertory and new choreography for presentation in the annual spring concert. This exciting new project will begin in the fall of 2009.

Below are pictures from previous a Dance Ensemble performance, Shuffle Play.
