The Magic Circle

Two Week Camp for Rising Grades 6-12

Student will receive a Camp T-shirt, bottled water, a daily snack and lunch in the SU Cafeteria
Time: 9-3 pm
Two-Week Session: June 2-6 & 9-13, 2014

With the assistance of theatre instructors, students will plan, create and participate in a production of The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood by Mary Lynn Dobson.

Synopsis: It sure is hard to be humble when you're a swashbuckling, egocentric super-hero. But our gallant guy-in-green tries his best as he swaggers through The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, a frantically funny, Monty Pythonesque retelling of the classic. This time around, the legendary legend, in his never-ending quest to aid the needy, encounters a lovely damsel-in-distress; an ever-scheming sheriff; and a good-natured "Town's Guy" who manages to make his way into every scene, whether he belongs there or not. Combine them with an expandable band of spoon-wielding Merry Persons and you've got an irreverent jaunt through Sherwood Forest you won't soon forget!

The performance will take place on the Harrison Stage, June 13 at 7 pm. In addition, students will participate in theatre games and activities.
