Jeanna, Riley, and I spent the first two weeks of July in Asia, visiting universities in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Japan. Our first stop was Jakarta, Indonesia where we signed a memorandum of understanding between Samford and the Universitas Pelita Harapan. Next, we visited colleagues at Hong Kong Baptist University, where Samford enjoys a student exchange program. Finally, we concluded our trip in Fukuoka, Japan at Seinan Gakuin University, with the hope of establishing programs for student and faculty exchange. It was a memorable trip, and we hope that these efforts will bear fruit for future generations of Samford students and faculty.
