Lucy joined the Brock School of Business in June of 2006 and currently serves as the Program Assistant to Larry Harper the Director of Graduate and Executive Education Programs.

Her role in the School of Business includes managing admissions to the graduate programs as well as functions involving the Community Banking School.  Lucy credits Mr. Harper for bringing her into the Samford community and for the opportunity to work with such a great team of professionals.

Prior to coming to Samford, Lucy enjoyed a successful career of 23 years of service with the AT&T Phone Company.  She moved with her husband in July of 2003 to his home of Birmingham, Alabama.  A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lucy’s previous profession was Project Manager for the Real Estate and Construction Department at AT&T.  Lucy was responsible for all administrative space functions in the state of Wisconsin including move management, space remodeling and complete build-outs.  With a need for better organization, Lucy created a Move-Management Guide which is used today by the Wisconsin AT&T project managers.

Lucy holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a Certificate in Programming from Milwaukee Area Technical College.  She is currently working on her Bachelors degree in Business Administration at Samford University and plans to apply for the MBA program in the near future.

Lucy and her husband, Dave, a graduate of the University of Montevallo, live in Vestavia.  Lucy is a standing member of the Milwaukee Chapter of the Phone Company Pioneers, a published author of poetry, and a Notary Public for the State of Alabama.
