Samford Business and McWhorter School of Pharmacy faculty members team up for case

Samford Business professor, Dr. Charles M. (Chad) Carson, along with McWhorter School of Pharmacy faculty member Dr. Alan Spies and their colleague Dr. Carol Cumber from South Dakota State University have published a case in the latest issue of the Journal of Applied Case Research. The case, which deals with an American's with Disabilities Act (ADA) claim that was filed by a Texas pharmacist who was addicted to cocaine, has been used by all three authors in various Human Resources Management courses that they have taught. "The case is so unique that students really become involved in the discussion. It was a great experience to reach across disciplinary lines with Dr. Spies and examine the implications of this case from the lens of a human resources manager as well as hospital / pharmacy management," said Carson.
