American Marketing Association

American Marketing Association is a professional association leading the practice, teaching and development of marketing knowledge worldwide. It is the largest professional organization in North America with over 30,000 members. Membership will enhance your marketing skills by attending conferences and events. In addition, you gain access to the AMA magazine, blogs, job search and resume tools. As a student member you receive a "bridged" fee post-graduation that is extremely discounted from the typical professional rate. The Brock School of Business’ organization presents several networking opportunities including mock interviews.

Beta Alpha Psi

Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for Financial Information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility. Only AACSB-accredited Schools of Business are eligible for chapters of Beta Alpha Psi. Samford’s Kappa Pi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi sponsors an extensive schedule of activities throughout the academic year including monthly professional programs covering such topics as careers in accounting and finance, interviewing and resume preparation, and graduate school options; the annual Accounting Career Night which provides an opportunity for interaction with professionals from the local business community; volunteering with Habitat for Humanity; and social events with accounting firms.

ENACTUS

ENACTUS (formerly Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)) is an international nonprofit organization that unites student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurship to improve the lives of people in need around the world.   Student leaders of ENACTUS create and implement community empowerment projects locally and around the globe that transform the lives.  The Brock School of Business' ENACTUS club has recently worked on a number of projects that include conducting on campus workshops about micro-finance, offering financial literacy camps for at-risk youth, hosting a fundraiser to raise money for global nonprofits, and funding entrepreneurs worldwide through KIVA.   ENACTUS is the organization for Brock School of Business students interested in entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship.

Financial Management Association

Financial Management Association is a professional organization for finance-related professions. The Brock School of Business FMA chapter was organized in 2008 and holds regular meetings exploring different career paths available to finance majors. The FMA National Honor Society separately recognizes top finance majors with an induction ceremony each spring.
