Our Students
Some of the most motivated, accomplished students at Samford choose to major in Communication Studies. Our majors are highly visible on campus: they are leaders who are recognized by the University as well as the Birmingham community and beyond. They also report being extremely satisfied with their choice of major. They tell us they learn important communication skills they use not only in their professions, but in their personal lives. Read on to see what some of our majors say about life in the Communication Studies Department…

The best thing about this major is the sense of community between the professors and the students. You feel more like a part of something rather than just an ant ready to be lost in the crowd.

This major will help me to help others. I'm learning how people can express feelings towards one another effectively and how others interpret your form of communication.
