Brand Ambassadors

As members of the Samford University family, we all must learn to understand, communicate and live our brand. Through this commitment, we become the embodiment of our core values and in effect, brand ambassadors.

As we continue to grow in our roles as brand ambassadors it is helpful to recognize how each of our audience groups can become brand ambassadors, too.

We want Samford students to: 

  • Promote the Samford brand with friends and family
  • Become a Samford storyteller in social media
  • Become engaged in on- and off-campus projects and events as Samford representatives

We want Samford employees to: 

  • Become brand champions
  • Become storytellers
  • Promote Samford's accomplishments

We want Samford alumni to: 

  • Understand Samford's value to the state, nation and world
  • Lend their passion and commitment to Samford
  • Assist Samford's Career Development Center
  • Be inspired to donate to the university
  • Encourage high school students to apply to the university
  • Advocate for Samford with those in their spheres of influence

We want prospective students to: 

  • Understand the value of a Samford education
  • Recognize Samford for its extensive leadership initiatives and community engagement opportunities
  • Understand the Samford "VIP experience"
  • Be inspired by the Samford brand and apply for admission
  • Promote the Samford brand among friends and family members

We want Samford parents to: 

  • Promote the Samford brand with friends and family members
  • Gain understanding about how to talk about Samford's values and accomplishments
  • Promote these in social media
  • Provide necessary support to their children
  • Support Samford financially through a donor gift

We want community members to: 

  • Understand the university's contributions to solving problems in the community, the state and the region
  • Understand how the university leads to a better way of life and contributes to economic prosperity locally, regionally and nationally
  • See Samford graduates as qualified and prepared leaders
  • Promote the Samford brand to others in the community
  • Become an advocate for Samford within their spheres of influence

We want business leaders to:

  • Promote the Samford brand in professional and social activities
  • Assist Samford's Career Development Center through student internships
  • Encourage prospective students to apply to the university

  • Use Samford faculty and staff as consultants
