Biographical Information

Janica York Carter has more than two decades of experience in print publications. She has worked in Samford's Office of University Relations since 1999. For seven years before coming to Samford, she edited books for Oxmoor House, the book division of neighboring Southern Progress Corporation. She held internships on the copy desks at Southern Living and U.S. News &World Report as well as an internship at a local printing company. She graduated cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College with a degree in English, and minors in art and business. She is a member of the Religion Communicators Council, Baptist Communicators Association, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
