Bulldogs Conquer the East

Samford Debate traveled to James Madison University this weekend, to debate the best the East Coast had to offer.
The team of John Wilkerson & Chad Macumber scored a dominant 5-1 preliminary record in the Varsity division, defeating teams from Catholic University, Louisville, Mary Washington, and the University of Georgia. Wilkerson & Macumber placed in the sweet sixteen of the tournament.
The Junior varsity team of Josh Smith and David Williams again scored a winning preliminary record, winning four debates and losing only two. They defeated teams from Richmond University, Wake Forest, George Mason, and the top rated squad in the country, Liberty University.
Good job, Bulldogs!
The Samford team travels this weekend to Wake Forest University for the largest national tournament of the first semester. Wish the Bulldogs luck in their debates...
