Jane joined Samford in 2002, after spending nine years in higher education in Texas, at the University of Houston-Victoria and Victoria College, plus additional years in retail and with an oil tool company. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities-English at the University of Houston-Victoria plus post-baccalaureate work in English at UAB. Born in Germany on an Army Base, Jane has since lived in several states (Alabama, Texas, California, and Georgia).
