Building Accessibility
Bashinsky Fieldhouse:
Accessible entrance on west side of building, near tennis courts.
Ramp access on west side of building for south entrance of Siebert Hall and to track/football field.
Beeson Divinity School:
- Divinity South
Accessible entrance on south side of building at ground level, elevator and accessible restrooms.
Accessible restrooms on 1st floor directly across from elevator.
- Divinity North
Ramp entrance at both doors. Accessible restrooms on west end of building. Elevator on east end of building.
- Hodges Chapel
Enter through Divinity South entrance, take elevator to 1st floor, exit left. Also can be accessed by entering through the east side courtyard entrance at back of building, turn left.
Bonnie Bolding Swearingen Hall:
North wing of Wright Center and Harrison Theatre, Samford Art Gallery, Bolding Studio, classrooms, work rooms and offices. Accessible main entrance to 2nd floor of Harrison Theatre. Right to men’s and women’s accessible restrooms on left. Elevator is to the left of main entrance. Accesses 1st – 3rd floors.
Brooks Hall:
Elevator on north side of building. Access sidewalk on east side of library, continue in front of Law School and behind Brooks Hall to service elevator; accesses 1st – 3rd floors.
Buchanan Hall:
Enter accessible main entrance of Harrison Theatre, turn left to enter Buchanan Hall, 2nd floor only accessible. Accessible restrooms are to the right of Harrison Theatre entrance.
Burns Hall:
Accessible entrance on east side (back) of building to 2nd floor only. Follow sidewalk on north side of building (in front of Brooks Hall) to back of Burns. Once entered the building, turn right, women’s only accessible restroom on left.
Chapman Hall:
Enter through Burns Hall entrance; take left to enter Chapman Hall side of building (2nd floor only).
Cumberland School of Law:
Accessible entrance on west side at courtyard. Turn right upon entering, take 1st left to accessible unisex restroom. Take 2nd left (end of hallway) to south elevator, accesses 1st floor south, 2nd floor north and south and 3rd floor south. Turn left upon entering west side entrance, follow hallway to the right, north elevator will be on left. Accesses 1st floor south, 2nd floor north and south, Mezzanine and 3rd floor north.
Accessible entrance on north side of building, Riley Road entrance, to 2nd floor north and south. Upon entering follow hallway to the left, right, and another right, Great Room on right. Ramp in the back right corner of the Great Room to access north elevator.
Accessible entrance on east side of building at courtyard. Turn right upon entering, follow hallway to the left, north elevator on right. Accesses 1st floor south, 2nd floor north and south, Mezzanine, and 3rd floor north.
Law Library:
Accessible entrance on north side of library, Riley Road entrance. Left to library, right to law school. Once entered the library, elevator is on the left, accesses 1st – 4th floors. Accessible restrooms are in the back right corner on each floor.
Dwight Beeson Hall (DBH):
Ramp access on right side of front entrance. Once inside, to access the women’s only accessible restroom you will need to enter Brock Forum on the left and proceed through the auditorium and left front door, restroom will be on the right. To access the men’s only accessible restroom you will need to enter Brock Forum on the right and proceed through the auditorium and right front door, restroom will be on the left.
Accessible ramp entrance with push button door on west side of building. Follow hallway to the left, accessible restrooms are on the left. Continue following hallway to the right to access elevator. Accessible restrooms are also located on the 4th floor, exit elevator left and follow hallway.
Harrison Theatre:
Accessible main entrance to 2nd floor. Right to men’s and women’s accessible restrooms on left. Elevator is to the left of main entrance. Accesses 1st – 3rd floors.
Ingalls Hall:
Accessible entrance with push button door on south side of building. This entrance accesses both Ingalls Hall to the left and Russell Hall to the right and is the only accessible entrance to Ingalls Hall. Turn left, take another left, women’s only accessible restroom on the left. Continue down hallway past the stairs, elevator is on the right, continuing further will be the men’s only accessible restroom on the left. Elevator accesses Ground - 3rd floors.
Women’s only accessible restroom on 2nd floor, exit elevator right. (Restroom door is not large enough to get a wheelchair through, has accessible stall).
Unisex accessible restroom on 3rd floor. Exit elevator right, go around the desk on left and continue to back of room, restroom on right.
Jane Hollock Brock Recital Hall:
Two accessible front entrances on the south side of building. Accessible ramp entrance on front left, ramp to the right of steps. Push button entrance on the front right. Both entrances access the auditorium with accessible seating on either side. Accessible restrooms are just inside the front left entrance. Follow hallway to the left of the auditorium for more accessible restrooms on left. Turn right off this hallway behind the auditorium to access elevator on left. Elevator accesses 1st-3rd floors. Accessible restrooms on 2nd floor; exit elevator right. Exit elevator left on 2nd floor for push button door to courtyard on north side of building.
Exit elevator right on 3rd floor, follow hallway to access 2nd floor of Swearingen Hall.
Library:
Accessible only entrance on west side of building. Follow sidewalk past brick wall, ring doorbell for access to this 2nd floor entrance. Go through another door and turn right, elevator and accessible restrooms on right. Elevator accesses 1st – 4th floors with accessible restrooms on each floor.
Accessible entrance on east side of building, 2nd floor entrance. Directly ahead are accessible restrooms and elevator.
Nursing School (Center for the Healing Arts):
Accessible main entrance on south side of building. Take 1st left and 1st right to accessible restrooms and elevator.
Accessible restrooms on 2nd floor, exit elevator right.
Accessible entrance to 3rd floor from the north side of building. Elevator is to the right.
School of Education (OBB):
1st floor accessible entrances are on the south side of the building. Two accessible parking spaces have access to sidewalk and the two entrances. Right entrance has elevator on right, left entrance has accessible men’s restroom on the left.
Accessible 2nd floor main entrance on east side of building from street. Elevator is to the left upon entering. Turn right upon entering and follow hallway to accessible women’s restroom on left.
Accessible restrooms on 3rd floor. Exit elevator, men’s in back left corner, women’s in back right corner.
Accessible unisex restrooms on 4th floor. Exit elevator either direction, follow hallways to end.
Pittman Hall:
South side accessible entrance to Student Health Services and Counseling Services only, accessible restroom.
Reid Chapel:
Ramp access on the front left side of Burns Hall main entrance, accesses side entrance of Reid Chapel.
Russell Hall:
Accessible entrance on east side of building, follow hallway, elevator on left, accessible restrooms at next left.
Accessible entrance with automatic door on south side of building. This entrance accesses both Ingalls Hall to the left and Russell Hall to the right. Upon entering follow hallway to the right, accessible restrooms on right, elevator at next right.
2nd and 3rd floors, exit elevator left, take an immediate left to accessible restrooms.
Samford Hall:
The main entrance is an accessible entrance. To access main entrance follow sidewalk on the south side of building that leads around to the east side-main entrance or from the sidewalk that leads in from the north side of building. Once entered, elevator on right, accesses 1st – 3rd floors. 1st floor, exit elevator left, accessible restrooms on right.
Sciencenter:
Enter 2nd floor main entrance to the right of breezeway, turn right; ahead will be accessible restrooms and elevator. Exit elevator right to accessible restrooms on the Ground, 1st and 3rd floors.
Accessible entrances are on both ends of the building on front side.
Seibert Gym:
Accessible ramp entrance at front, gym level, 3rd floor. Ramp is to the right of steps.
Accessible entrance on east side of building to basement level, 2nd floor.
Accessible entrance on south side of building, 1st floor – ramp to this entrance is accessed from the west side of Bashinsky Fieldhouse. Accessible restroom at this entrance on left.
University Center:
Ramp access on the left front side of building. Turn right to access bookstore, food court and post office.
Accessible entrances on east side of building:
1) Front to access 1st floor (bookstore, food court, post office). Elevator to left of food court.
2) Back of building, automatic door (near post office). Elevator on right at this entrance to access 2nd floor cafeteria only.
University Center Annex:
Accessible entrances on west side of building:
1) Push button door at front entrance to JMC Department, elevator on right accesses 1st - 3rd floors. Accessible restrooms are on 2nd floor, exit elevator right.
2) Back entrance, ramp with push button door at Campus Safety, straight ahead and to the right to cafeteria. Elevator on the right, before cafeteria, that will access food court below. Accessible restrooms are behind food court.
Wright Center:
Accessible entrance on the west side of the building. Upon entering auditorium entrance is to the left. To access elevator go to the back of the auditorium and into lobby. Elevators are on the left and right of main entrance to access Lounge and 1st floor.
Accessible restrooms are on the Lounge level, women’s on the east side and men’s on the west side.
You may also access the Wright Center through Jane Hollock Brock Recital Hall front left entrance and to the left.
