Thank you to all of our alumni and our centennial planning committee (CPC) for a successful centennial year of events.

Great connections have been made and rekindled through the CPC. We want to continue promoting the school of education through events and alumni activities by having you and your fellow alums join us for meetings and events throughout the year. Keep visiting the website to stay up-to-date on all the happenings for school of education alums.

Learning for Life Award+

We honored 100 outstanding school of education alumni or teacher certification recipients with the inaugural Learning for Life Award during homecoming weekend November 6-7, 2015.

We awarded each recipient with a Learning for Life Centennial medal.

The Centennial Learning for Life Awards were held at The Club in Birmingham, Ala.

Dr. Betsy Rogers, chair of the department of Curriculum and Instruction and assistant professor, was one of the honorees.

Mandy Jane Stanley, an alum and the 2014 National Student Teacher of the Year, spoke at the ceremony.

Dr. Andy Westmoreland, president of Samford University, spoke at the ceremony and honored all the recipients.

Brittany Bisese, the scholarship award recipient, discussed the tangible benefits that alumni donations provide current and future students of the school of education.

President Westmoreland, Mrs. Mary Louise Hodges, and Dr. Jeanie Box, Dean of the school of education, were among the attendees.
