Second Semester

Goal: Exposure to a variety of athletic training settings & an equipment intensive sport.

Third Semester

KINS 275 – Proficiencies for Modalities & Mastery of KINS 274 Proficiencies

KINS 276 – Therapeutic Modalities

Football

Goal: To work a full season with an equipment intensive sport with emphasis on team work and group dynamics. Evaluations from rotations will be used in grading KINS 275.

Fourth Semester

KINS 277 – Proficiencies for Rehab and General Medical & Mastery of KINS 275 Proficiencies

KINS 300 – Rehabilitation

KINS 345 – Medical Aspects of Sports

Spring Sport

Goal: To work a full season with an upper or lower body exposure sport. Evaluations from rotations will be used in grading KINS 277.

Fifth Semester

KINS 375 – Proficiencies for Lower Body Evaluation and Kinesiology & Mastery of KINS 277 Proficiencies

KINS 476 – Anatomy & Kinesiology

KINS 485 – Rec & Eval – Lower Body

Fall Sport or Affiliated Clinical Setting

Goal: To work a full season with an upper or lower body exposure sport or at an affiliated clinical site. Evaluations from rotations will be used in grading KINS 375.

Sixth Semester

KINS 376 – Proficiencies for Upper Body Evaluation and Administration & Mastery of KINS 375 Proficiencies

KINS 486 – Rec & Eval – Upper Body 

KINS 374 – Ath. Training Administration

Spring Sport or Affiliated Clinical Setting

General Medical Rotation

Goal: To work with an upper or lower body exposure sport or at an affiliated clinical setting & to shadow a general medical physician. Evaluations from rotations will be used in grading KINS 376.

Seventh Semester

KINS 450 – Proficiencies for Communication/Triage & Mastery of KINS 376 Proficiencies

Rehabilitation Rotation

Affiliated Clinical Site

Goal: To spend a semester at either an affiliated clinical setting or to rotate through various settings involved in the rehabilitation process of the athlete. Evaluations from rotations will be used in grading KINS 450.

Eighth Semester

KINS 451 – Proficiencies for First Aid, Nutrition, and Sport Psychology & Mastery of KINS 450/451 Proficiencies

Spring Football & Orthopedic Rotation

Goal: To work an equipment intensive sport at a mastery skill level. To spend time with an orthopedic surgeon in a clinical and surgical setting. Evaluations from rotations will be used in grading KINS 451.
