Biographical Information

Since arriving at Samford, Alex has assumed leadership roles in Residence Life and University Ministries. However, her primary passion has been the environmental awareness organization Restoring Eden. After renewing the organization's presence on campus, Alex assumed the role of co-president. She attended PowerShift 2011, a leadership conference for young people devoted to a clean energy future, and interned with the national chapter of Restoring Eden. For her environmental efforts, Alex was awarded the prestigious Udall Scholarship. She is one of 80 students selected nationally from over 585 candidates nominated by 274 schools. In the spring, Alex received a Daniel Foundation International Study Scholarship to pursue her language studies in Argentina for the semester.
