Biographical Information
As a high school student, Aly earned a spot in the 2011 Governor’s Honors Program in the field of chemistry, was an AP scholar, and was ranked in the top 5% of her class. Though she considers academics to be important, Aly spends much of her time working with Amigos for Christ (an international missions organization), playing tennis, and figure skating. She won the Top Athlete Scholar award for the past three years in tennis and also passed two internationally recognized tests in figure skating. This past summer, Aly spent time in Nicaragua to help build water systems for the impoverished local communities. After graduating from Samford with a degree in Journalism, Aly plans to spend a few years abroad as a missionary in Nicaragua.
