Throughout high school, Anderson was very interested in politics. He attended the Tennessee Governor's School for the Humanities. Preceding his senior year, he was selected as a delegate to Tennessee Boys State. During the summer of 2010, he worked as an intern in the office of U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander. In school, he enjoys announcing athletic events and competing in mock trial competitions. He also has been very active in his community's Habitat for Humanity programs. At Samford, Anderson has already started to pursue his love of politics by contacting many local campaigns.
