Biographical Information

An avid volunteer, Julia was the Vice President of her school’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity, revitalized the clothes closet service at her church, was the children’s activity coordinator on a mission trip to Haiti, and served as lead freshman mentor to freshman girls at her school. As a result of all of her volunteer activities, she received the Prudential Spirit of Community Award and the President’s Volunteer Service Award. A student of many talents, Julia is also an AP scholar with Honors and a member of three honor societies. While in the Science National Honor Society, she led her school to win two science fairs regarding organic gardening. She also won third place in the Williamson County Poetry Contest, and the script she wrote for Destination Imagination won the state competition in 2010.
