Requirements

• You must be a currently enrolled student at Samford University.
• You must have a deep respect and appreciation for Samford University.
• You must be enthusiastic and reliable.
• You must have strong communication skills and polite phone manners.
• You must be able to ask people for money with confidence.

Goals

• Attempt as many calls as possible.
• Create or maintain a positive relationship with each constituent.
• Raise unrestricted and restricted funds for Samford University.

Salary and Hours

The Phonathon center pays beginning callers $7.50 per hour. There are opportunities for rapid recognition and reward with prizes, bonuses and pay raises.

The operating hours of the Phonathon are year-round, Monday through Thursday from 6-9 p.m. The center is closed during all Samford holidays. Schedules are created based on your availability.
