The CDC maintains a comprehensive resource center for career-related books, company information, websites, videos, and handouts.
Books include titles on majors, career fields, graduate programs, internship opportunities, resume and letter writing, interviewing and job search strategies, and directories. Most titles are available to be checked out by currently enolled students, faculty, and staff and are catalogued in Davis Library's Millennium sytem.
The library houses hard copy information for a variety of companies and corporations as well as listings of current websites. We also have websites for professional and career research.
Our video collection includes topics such as graduate school admission, job search strategies and interviewing skills. Many videos are available to be checked out by currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff.
We have free handouts addressing a range of topics, including: Career information on Myers-Briggs Types, Decision Making and Goal Setting, Evaluations of Transferable Skills and Work Related Values, Information on the Academic Majors at Samford, Informational Interviewing, and our comprehensive Resume/Cover Letter Guide.
The Career Development Center Library is located within the CDC office (RWBUC - Room 205) and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00a.m. until 4:30p.m.. We invite you to visit!
