Welcome to Prayer in Action!

Samford University was the proud recipient of a Lilly Foundation grant focused on the Theological Exploration of Vocation (T.E.V.). As a part of the grant, the Career Development Center developed these web pages to inform, encourage and support those wanting a deeper understanding of the integration between faith, values and vocation. Through this forum, the CDC hopes to provide the Samford community with:

1) a bibliography to learn more about interpreting and implementing individual vocational callings,

2) inspirational stories from Samford alumni who are discovering and following their calling into a variety of vocations such as ministry, business, and education,

3) an online assessment tool that allows the user to identify his/her skills and interests and evaluate personal and work related values in connection with career choice,

4) links for further exploration of vocational decisions based on faith principles, and

5) a selection of Scriptural passages to contemplate spiritual gifts and vocational calling
