Big Oak Girls' Ranch is located on 325 acres about six miles from Springville on U. S. Highway 11. The Girls' Ranch has six group homes, a transitional apartment home, gymnasium, equine center, and swimming pool.
The children live in as normal a setting as we can possibly create. As many as eight children live in each of the ranch's comfortable two story brick homes

with a dedicated, Christian couple serving as "mom and dad." These parents give their lives in full time Christian service to provide the consistent love, discipline, and direction that the children need. Ages vary in each home so the younger girls will have big sisters and likewise, the older girls can develop a caring and responsible attitude toward their younger siblings.
As a Chi Omega at Samford University, The Big Oak Girls Ranch holds a special place in our lives. Building relationships, spending time with the girls and just enjoying one another's company are some of the things we engage ourselves in. Once a month we are so excited to spend a weekend night with the girls at the ranch. We caravan out to the ranch and cook dinner, bake cookies, watch movies, play basketball. The girls add so much to our lives and hopefully we add a little something to theirs. We are blessed to be able to get to share a little bit of their lives with us.
