The information that you furnish to the Bookstore is vital in order for instructors and students to be prepared for class. The textbook verification, order, and receipt process is a long one. |
Samford University TEXTBOOK INFORMATION FORM |
Books are requested by April for Fall, and by October for spring so we can offer top dollar after finals in December and May. |
Deadline Dates for the List to be in:
April 15 - For Fall Semester
October 15 - For Spring Semester
March 15 - For Summer Semester
The first week of each semester is always overwhelming for everyone, faculty as well as staff. The University Bookstore is here to serve you, the faculty member, as well as the students. We are striving for our most important goal, to give excellent service and to make shopping with us more pleasant.
In order to maintain excellent service for the faculty, staff and students, may I ask that you help me with the following simple reminders:
1. Department secretaries should notify the Bookstore if there should be an increase in enrollment.
2. ISBN # of the book you order is extremely important. It is usually found on the back of the book or just inside on the first page.
3. Please specify "NO TEXT" when your course does not use a book.
4. If you decide not to use a book after classes start, please inform your students of your decision within the first two weeks after the semester begins so they can return any books they have purchased.
5. Please be sure to indicate whether a text is required or optional.
6. When you order late, you are taking a chance your book will be out of stock at the publisher.
7. If a professor wants a book here in one or two days, the department will be charged the special shipping cost.
If there is anything more we can do for you or your students, please call the Bookstore at 726-2834 or e-mail at textbook@samford.edu. Thank you for allowing us to service your needs.
