About the Honors Program

The Honors Program supplements and complements the regular curriculum of Samford University. Selected students take honors sections of university core curriculum, as well as general education classes their first two years. They then take an Honors Seminar, and climax their honors experience with a senior honors thesis.

Honors students receive many benefits from the program, including:

- The best teachers Samford has to offer

- Innovative and exciting classes with much smaller enrollments and, as a result, more personal attention from professors

- Social events, Speaker's Corners, and periodic free food

- A special study room in the library reserved for those in the program (HONR 214);

- A $1000 scholarship to London awarded each year

- The chance to interact with some of the most intelligent students at the university

- A great intellectual experience in college.
