General London Programs Information

The programs for Study Abroad in London fill up rapidly. Students are advised to plan in advance and enroll immediately when the registration period for such programs is opened.

Registration Procedure

Registration is done according to class standing as detailed in the registration procedures distributed in all student campus mail boxes.

A position in a program is secured by placing a non-refundable deposit at the London Programs Office during the registration period and submitting a registration form. (Registration forms are available at the London Programs Office.)
- Deposit for the Semester Abroad: $300
- Deposit for Jan Term: $200
- Deposit for Summer Term in London: $250
Students registering for Jan Term and Summer Term must include the course name and prefix on the registration form. Students are responsible for meeting prerequisites and eligibility requirements.
Registration will be announced to students by campus mail and takes place on the following schedule:
- Semester Abroad--during the preceding semester. (All current charges must be clear.)
- Jan Term--during the fall semester. (All current charges must be clear.)
- Summer Term in London--during the spring semester. (All current charges must be clear.)

Eligibility

To register, a student must be currently enrolled as a full-time Samford student (minimum of 12 credits during the semester preceding participation), must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and must not be on academic or disciplinary probation. Students must have at least sophomore class standing to participate in the Semester Abroad and Summer programs. Students must have met all prerequisites or requirements for London classes in which they enroll. Students must maintain these standards prior to departure and throughout the term in London and must abide by participation and housing rules. Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the program and a return home at the expense of the student.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

A different policy applies to the London Programs than the policy for on-campus programs published in the catalog. A copy of the London policy is available in the London Programs Office. Since stringent deadlines and penalties apply to international programs, students are advised to study the policy before registration.
