The fee includes roundtrip airfare from Atlanta, airport
transfer, accommodations at the London Study Centre, continental
breakfast and meal allowance, planned excursions, Paris weekend
via Eurostar, 8 plays and 12 credits tuition.

LOND 360 - MODERN BRITAIN
An interdisciplinary study of British life from the perspectives
of history, architecture, literature, economics, political science,
religion, art, and sociology. Credits 4. Team taught by British
lecturers and Samford Professor-in- Residence.
ENGL/HIST/PHIL/RELG 399 (01) - English Innovators
This course focuses on the lives of several men and women of recent
centuries who had a great impact upon their own time and afterwards
in such areas as government, society, religion, literature and the
arts. Credits 4. Taught by Dr. Rod Davis, Department of English.
HDFS/POLS/PSYC/SOCI 399 (02) - Person and Society
This course will examine the arguments and evidence that a person’s
self-identity emerges from personal experience in a particular social
context. Cultural diversity and historical period will be considered
determining forces of the social context. Credits 4. Taught by Dr.
Hugh Floyd, Sociology Department.
Optional Courses (Students may enroll in these
courses to reach the required semester load of 12 credits. Students
with a 3.0 GPA plus approval of the Director of London Programs
and their advisor, may take up to 14 credits. There is an additional
charge for credits above 12.)
LOND 200 - THE BRITISH THEATRE
Lectures by leading practitioners, a backstage theatre tour, and
eight nights at the theatre in London bring British theatre to life..
Satisfies drama appreciation requirements. Credits 2. Taught by
Staff and British Lecturers.
LOND 201 - MUSIC AND ART IN LONDON: A Fine Arts Directed
Independent Study
The music and art resources of London are the basis for this directed
independent study. Course will include a variety of field assignments.
Satisfies a fine arts requirement. Credits 2.
INTERNSHIPS
A limited number of internships are available in business, legal,
political theatre, media and other professional settings. Details
available from the London Programs Office. Credits 2-4.
