The Summer Program fee includes: airfare from Atlanta, airport transfers, accommodation and breakfast for one month, £80 weekly meal allowance, student health insurance for one month, two group day trips, class activities per selection of professor, a cellular phone (student covers cost of calls), and a discount pass to historic and cultural sites. Students in the theatre course pay an additional fee to supplement the cost of class activities.

Prof. Jackie Goldstein
The Individual in a Multi-Cultural World – FAMS 399.01x, 4 credits. This course is also cross-listed with PSYC, SOCI, POLS. The cultural diversity of London offers a unique and critical post 9/11 opportunity to observe and better understand the coexistence of diverse cultures. Field experiences, reinforced through critical readings and group discussions, include: 1) interactions with practitioners and clients in immigrant social service agencies, and 2) visits to culturally diverse sites in and around London. This course can be taken as an elective in the student’s major or minor or it can fulfill the social science Gen Ed requirement.
Prof. Eric Olson
Theatre Performance, Production and Criticism in London – THEA 399.01x, 4 credits
This course will investigate the process of creating a play in the professional realm of the London theatre environment. The students will trace the progress of a work from the playwright through the various design and production processes and marketing teams, to the director, and finally to the appraisal of the critic. This course is cross listed with JMC and ENGL and may serve as an approved substitution for the General Education Arts Appreciation block.

Scientific Methods - IDSC 201.01x, 4 credits
Earn science credits in London! Study the philosophy, history, and sociology behind scientific investigation while exploring the many contributions of British scientists.

Topics in Accounting & Finance: Introduction to International Accounting, BUSA 399.01x, 4 credits
Visit with the management and corporate officers of multinational organizations: bankers, traders, professional and corporate accountants, and consultants, and explore the similarities, differences, and inter-relationships between the accounting and economic systems of the UK, the EU, and the US. |
