What is SOSA? How do I register?

IMAGINE...

Plunging through the rapids on the Ocoee River,
Pouring your energy into the dream of a new home for a family in need,
Dropping your backpack under a shady oak by a quiet stream,
Preparing for the next step, life at college,
Breathing some fresh air.

The SAMFORD OUTDOOR SUMMER ADVENTURE (aka SOSA) invites you to dive head-first into the Samford community with four days of pure experience with a crew from the Samford class of 2012 led by two Samford upperclassfolks.

Choose SOSA North if you’d like to catch the action on the Ocoee River and to see what the rocks and rivers and trees can teach you, and if you enjoy or don’t mind a tent (with a bathhouse next door).

Choose SOSA South if you’d prefer to put your hands to work, doing a good turn for our neighbors while appreciating Alabama’s beauty (and if you prefer to sleep inside a building, not a tent)

After you get back to Samford and complete the adventure with dinner in downtown Homewood and a movie together, you’ll wake up the next morning for CONNECTIONS. Your life at Samford has begun...
