Faculty Self Service Instructions
How to E-mail Your Class:
- Go to Samford's home page: http://www.samford.edu (opens in a new window) and click on the link for the campus portal....OR
- Go directly to the portal: http://portal.samford.edu/
- Log on to the portal. The ID is the first part of your user id (example: pgaucoin) and the password is the same as your e-mail password.
- Click on Faculty Self Service.
- Go to the Faculty Menu and select Class List.
- Select the class you wish to e-mail, then click Submit.
- You will see a link that say Send E-mail to Class. Click on that link.
- You will see the phrase Send E-mail to Group. The students' names will be underlined.
- Click on the students' names and a new e-mail message should open.
- The students' names will be in the BC (blind copy) field. It's recommended that you also e-mail the note to yourself, placing your name in the address field, and keeping the students' names in the BC field. Then you will have a record of what you sent to the class.
