biannual, biennial
Biannual means twice a year and is a synonym for semiannual; biennial
means every two years. Because these terms can be confusing,
consider whether the context makes your meaning clear.
We conducted our last biennial study in 1996; we're due to do
it again in 1998.
I had my biannual dental exam last week; my insurance covers
two exams each year.
black

buildings, names of
Following is a list of University buildings. Each building's official
name is given first, followed by commonly used second references
and abbreviations. Note that for some buildings, there are no
acceptable second references—a distinction must be made,
for example, between Dwight Beeson and Ralph Beeson.
Use Hall or Building on first reference and in addresses, particularly
in publications intended for an off-campus audience.
