- Duties:
Provides leadership for the University's internal budget functions, by coordinating the annual budget planning, development, execution, communication, monitoring and reporting processes for an institutional wide budget…complete, accurate and in conformance with directives and initiatives. He/she directs all aspects of the university budget process performing financial analysis and generating estimates/expectations in line with sound fiscal responsibility and control. The incumbent will interface regularly with Deans, Division Heads and Department Heads.
This position reports to the Director of Finance under the Vice President for Business Affairs and directs the assignment of one part-time staff assistant and shares secretarial support.
- Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, public administration, or equivalent experience. The qualifications include a minimum of three (3) years experience in a position that requires: considerable knowledge of and experience in budget processes, managerial reporting, business/public administration, and finance; strong analytical abilities; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare complex financial and budgeting reports using mainframe systems, spreadsheets and other standard office software; the ability to work quickly and accurately and to write clearly and concisely; the ability to work in a collaborative manner with other administrative personnel throughout the university.

- Preferred Qualifications: Responsible level of experience in higher education finance or related field, masters degree.
