- Duties:
- Maintain records for the department as prescribed by the Dean, Chair and/or Faculty.
- Provide secretarial support for the Provost, Dean and Chair, particularly in the area of records maintenance.
- Assist Chair and Faculty with basic office functions (photocopying, printing & collating materials).
- Assist in the communication of departmental and school business to students.
- Facilitate mailings and communication to prospective students and retain database of prospective students.
- Assist Chair in maintenance of facilities and budget usage for the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean, Chair and the Dean's secretary.
- Dates of assignment for this position begins with the Fall semester and last until the end of the Spring term working 26 hours per week, 5 days per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of college studies.
- A minimum of two years of secretarial experience.
- A minimum of one year's clerical skills with knowledge of standard office equipment (copiers, scanners & fax machine).
- Must be able to pass tests showing basic competency skills of basic computer knowledge, generic typing and the Microsoft Office XP software products (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Must have excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with students, all campus employees and the general public.
- Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Must be available to work 26 hours per week, 5 days per week beginning with the Fall semester through the end of the Spring term.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable of the Banner product (student records & accounting).
- Familiarity with other accounting software products.
