- Free admission to most home athletic events (limit two tickets per employee)
- A 10% discount is offered on books and some other items at the University Bookstore with your current ID
- $2.00 Friday at the Cafeteria with your current ID
- Reid Chapel is available, for a fee, for weddings and other events. Call ext. 2752 for scheduling
- Personal checks up to $50.00 may be cashed with proper identification in the Bursar's Office or University Bookstore
- The Children's Learning Center, located on South Lakeshore Drive, enrolls children ages six weeks through four years and offers discounts to Samford University faculty, staff and students
- Payroll deductions for savings accounts and loans are available through First Educators Credit Union. Applications are in the Human Resources office.
- Employees are recognized at our Annual Service Awards Luncheon for each five years of full-time service
- You are welcome to use the University Libraries, but will first need to have your ID coded by the library. Employees are responsible for the payment of fines when returning overdue books and materials.
- An official branch of the Post Office is located on the ground floor of the University Center
- Weight room, swimming pool, racquetball court, and indoor track facilities are available to faculty and staff when classes are not in session. For dates and times of availability contact ESSM.
- Employees receive a 20% discount on tuition for Samford After Sundown classes.
- Free tickets are available for most Theater Productions. Call the Theater Box Office, 2853, between the hours of 1:30pm and 4:30pm.
- Savings bonds can be purchased through payroll deductions. Forms are in the Human Resources office.
- Payroll deductions can be made for auto, homeowners, and personal property insurance upon enrollment with Met Pay, by MetLife. Information concerning this program can be obtained by calling 1-800-438-6381.
- Long term care insurance is offered through Insurance & Investments Consultants, Inc. Long term care insurance provides services and assistance essential when individuals are no longer able to care for themselves due to an accident, illness or effects of aging.
