A Noble Cause

Legacy League members promote the mission of a highly respected educational institution where faith and learning are in partnership, where maturity in Christ is nurtured every day. The influence of Samford students will greatly affect generations to come.

The Legacy League has established an endowment program to provide life-changing scholarships for deserving students with financial need.  Gifts may be designated as memorial, commemorative or honorary, and there are opportunities to create and give to named Legacy League scholarships as well.

Meetings, generally held on the second Thursday of October, November, February and March, feature educational and inspirational programs.  Accomplished speakers, artists, musicians and authors are among the guests who provide enriching programs for the Legacy League.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Legacy League offers numerous opportunities for involvement suitable for a variety of interests and schedules.  Members may become involved in student care, special events, program plans and a variety of other meaningful and enjoyable endeavors.

According to alumna June Baggett, “Samford University Auxiliary is the tie that binds alumni and friends... the key to knowing the faculty and students... a wonderful time for fellowship.”

Intentional prayer support for faculty, staff and students has long been a vital element of the Legacy League's purpose.
