"Challenges in Education and Today's Classroom"

Mann Center Founding Director Dr. John Knapp was the keynote speaker and a seminar leader for the 2011 conference, “Challenges in Education and Today’s Classroom,” held in Beirut and sponsored by the Lebanese Society for Education and Development. He spoke to 250 teachers, administrators and community leaders about the role of educators in the moral development of students. Conference sessions were held at Lebanese American University and Middle East University. During his visit, he met with Lebanon’s Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Hassan Diab, and was interviewed by several Lebanese news organizations.
