The Frances Marlin Mann Center for Ethics and Leadership emphasizes the indispensable connection between ethics and good leadership in business, government, social services and the classic professions.
Based in the Office of the Provost, the Mann Center is a catalyst for the mission of Samford University. Nationally recognized for the caliber and creativity of its programs, the center is a model of excellence in ethics education. Through intentional collaboration, the center has developed innovative interdisciplinary programs that challenge students to become ethical leaders, and has built vital global partnerships. These partnerships allow the center to engage the Birmingham community in campus forums, provide seminars to professional organizations around the world, and support students as they lead international service experiences, to name just a few of the center’s signature initiatives.
In June 2013, the Mann Center completed five years of service at Samford. As we pause and reflect on the accomplishments of the past five years, we recognize that this work has only been possible through the generosity of our donors, the tireless work and advocacy of our faculty and staff, and the support of the larger community. The Mann Center is poised to embrace endless possibilities and accomplish even greater things in the future. I invite you to join us as we shape the leaders of tomorrow.
